T.S.O.L. = True Sounds Of Liberty
Over time the band went through many changes in members and styles. Finally we got the original members back together (the guys that started the band) and this web site is dedicated and made of the "original" TSOL, but in case you have confusion on what or who TSOL is, well then this History of the band should help.

Self Titled Black EP
This was originally released as a 5 song EP on"Posh Boy Records" It was the first release from TSOL and featured founding members: Jack Greggors (Grisham), Ron Emory, Mike Roche and Francis Gerald (Todd) Barnes. It was later combined with the "Weathered Statues" e.p. 1981

Dance With Me
"Dance With Me" was the second release. Originally released on "Frontier Records", this is the first full length album from the band. It features all original members. Jack used a different names (Alex Morgon) 1981

Weathered Statues
7-Inch
The third release was a 4 song
7-inch e.p. called "Weathered Statues". Originally released by "Alternative Tentacles", it featured all the original members, but now both Jack and Todd assume different names (Jack Ladoga and Todd Scrivener) 1982

Beneath The Shadows
This was the fourth release by the band and the second full length album by TSOL . This was originally released by "Alternative Tentacles" It has all the original members with the addition of Keyboard player, "Greg Kuehn" to create a 5 piece band. Jack and Todd use different names. (Jack Delauge and once again Todd Scrivener) This would be the last TSOL release with all the original members for years. 1982

Change Today?
Jack and Todd left the band. This was a new beginning for TSOL. With Ron still on guitar and Mike on the bass, newcomers Joe Wood on Vocals (Jack's brother in law) and Mitch Dean on Drums. This album started the transformation of TSOL to a more "Rock N" Roll" style.1984

Revenge
Same lineup as the previous album. A continued progression to the rock and roll style. There was a song on the album: "Nothin For You" that was used on the Return Of The Living Dead" soundtrack. 1986

Hit And Run
Same lineup as the previous 2 albums: Joe Wood on Vocals, Mitch Dean on Drums, Ron Emory on Guitar and Mike Roche on Bass. Released in 1987

TSOL - Live
Same lineup again. This was a Live album recorded at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California. Released on Restless Records in 1988

Strange Love
Before this album was made Ron Emory left the band. Some of the songs on the album were credited to him for his writings. There was now a new guitarist in the band, Marshall Rohner. Soon after the album was recorded Mike was out of the band leaving no original members. Released in 1990

Hell And Back Together
1984-1990
This was was a "best of" album of the later version of TSOL 1984-1990. In the liner notes it explains how TSOL ended up with no original members and that they had purchased the full rights to using the TSOL name from the early members of TSOL. The liner notes are written by Joe Wood and Mitch Dean. Released in 1991

Thoughts of Yesterday
1981-1982
This released in 1988. Its back to the original TSOL again. Although the band was still apart. The original Black EP was out of print. Posh Boy released everything off the Black EP and The Weathered Statues EP + The "PeaceThru Power" early version bonus track. This CD was usually combined with Jacks other Band "Tender Fury"

Thoughts of Yesterday
1980-1982
This was an import CD from Germany. Instead it was from 1980-1982 so it included some early TSOL demo's along with the same tracks that were on the 81-82 version of this album. Very Rare.

Man And Machine
7-Inch
This is a 1990 release by Posh Boy records. Its the original band. "Man And Machine" from the "Weathered Statues" EP and "Peace Thru Power" from the "Black EP" recording sessions. This was the version of P.T.P. that was used on the "Thoughts of Yesterday" album. Jack Ladoga = Jack Greggors = Jack Grisham.
Todd Scriverner = Francis = Todd Barnes as they are written on the record
